Pokemon GO Earns A Record Breaking $200 Million In Its First Month

So many people trying to catch em all.

The success of Pokemon GO continues unabated and unrelentingly- Sensory Tower are estimating that a month after the mobile game first launched, it has managed to earn a staggering $200 million in revenues, breaking all other records set by mobile games, such as Candy Crush Saga and Clash Royale, in the process.

One of the reasons Pokemon GO has been able to maintain its pace of earnings has been its high levels of anticipation worldwide coupled with the staggered rollout that the game has had worldwide. For instance, Sensory Tower noted that the daily revenues taken in by the game increased substantially after it launched in Japan near the end of July.

Pokemon GO has seen its share of ups and downs ever since its launch, with Niantic’s frustrating silence and removal of beloved features turning a lot of players away from the game. However, Niantic have since then begun to communicate with players better, and are currently looking at re-introducing Pokemon tracking into the game, so it looks like things are stabilizing even on that front.
