Pokemon GO Revenues Exceed $440 Million Worldwide In Just Two Months

The game itself crosses 180 million downloads.

Pokemon GO may be considered disappointing in a lot of circles, and that may have led to an exodus of sorts of users, but the app continues to be massively successful. According to analysis outlet SensorTower, Pokemon GO has pulled in more than $440 million, a number that is especially notable because the game hasn’t even been out for two full months yet.

This performance also means that Pokemon GO is more successful than many major blockbusters that released this year, including The Angry Birds Movie, Warcraft, Jason Bourne, and Independence Day: Resurgence. In terms of sheer downloads, the game is standing at over 180 million of them worldwide. Additionally, the game, while no longer the top grossing app in each country it is available in like it was a couple of months ago, is still making $4 million a day.

All of this is even more impressive when you consider that the game isn’t even officially out in large markets like China and India- theoretically, there could be even more growth in this app’s future. Pokemon GO is out now on iOS and Android smartphones.
