We reported earlier that several new Pokemon titles were coming to mobile soon, and today we got the first major details on one of them, Pokemon Masters. While Pokemon GO has been major hit for the franchise for a good while, Masters promises something a little closer to the traditional experience this summer.
Developer DeNA gave a video presentation on the game which you can check out below. The game is a free to play mobile title and will feature 3 vs 3 battles as you play a group of trainers on an adventure in a new region in the Pokemon world, the island of Pasio. Each trainer will have their specific Pokemon, from all generations, and a big part of the battle system is syncing up those Pokemon for major attacks. The game will feature in-app purchases but it’s not clarified what those will be yet.
Pokemon Masters will release for both iOS and Android sometime this summer, and joins several other titles in Nintendo’s renewed push into mobile.
