The August lineup for Sony’s PlayStation Plus service has been announced, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. PlayStation 3 owners will get the best deal, because they score themselves a free copy of Yakuza 5, Retro/Grade, and Ultratron- and I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about those last two games, but Yakuza 5 sounds like a great deal, so I can’t complain.
PS Vita owners, meanwhile, get themselves a free copy of Patapon 3, which is one of the best games available for the PSP, as well as Ultratron– and again, Patapon is a great win, so I can’t complain much there.
It’s the PS4, though, that disappoints- you get Tricky Towers and Rebel Galaxy, which… eh. Especially compared to the strong showing that Microsoft had with Games with Gold this month, I have to admit this comes off as disappointing.
The games will be available to download without any additional cost to all PS+ subscribers in the month of August. A video introducing the PS4 games can be watched below.
