As the sequel to the surprisingly well done Lords of Shadow for the Playstation 3 and XBox 360, Konami’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will continue the story of Gabriel and his battle with the Belmonts. It’ll be developed by Mercury Steam and Kojima Productions, and be available for the Playstation 3 and XBox 360.
Of course, this being a console war where there can be only one victor (no givebacks either), The Gamer’s Hub asked series producer Dave Cox as to the lead platform.
Lo and behold, it’s the Playstation 3.
Which isn’t much of a surprise if you consider that it was the same for the original. It didn’t impact Lords of Shadow too much, however, so it’s hard to imagine how this will be any different if it’s true.
Another title – Mirror of Fate – will be released for the Nintendo 3DS and chronicle the events that set up Lords of Shadow 2. Stay tuned for more.
