PS3 Super Slim: Sony only wanted to talk about software at Gamescom

If you’re wondering why the PS3 super slim model was missing at Gamescom, then it’s because Sony just wanted to talk about software. In case you’re new to all this, PS3 super slim is a slimmer version of PS3 CECH 3000, which also supposedly features a 16GB flash drive instead of the standard HDD.

It was leaked few months ago along with a bunch of pics and when you take into account the FCC filing for the same, it’s clear that Sony isn’t ready to talk about it rather than it simply does not exist.

When asked about why there was no mention of the said model at Gamescom by CVG, Playstation Europe CEO Jim Ryan said, “What PS3?” Appearing oblivious to the news, while adding, “Well, we had so much to talk about on the software side, and that’s all we wanted to talk about.”
