Exciting times ahead. We all know the Nintendo Wii U will be re-revealed and there will be an information blowout on it at this year’s E3, but according to a new rumour, more specifically a MCV rumour, which states that both PS4 and Xbox 720 will be shown at the event as well.
Ben Parfitt, who writes for MCV, mentioned on Twitter that, they do have a high level source and the information is 100% accurate.
“Obviously we can’t reveal our sources,” MCV writer Ben Parfitt said on Twitter. “But you have my personal word on this – the source is exemplary, 100 per cent concrete, ultra high level.”
“Really, really wish I could name him/her/them/it but obviously cannot.”
Of course, these companies could also be playing mind-games, as not to give Nintendo an advantage. If you remember there were plenty of rumours earlier which said that Microsoft and Sony will be releasing their consoles in 2014.
If that happened, they would have ended up giving the Wii U an entire year in the market, which would have been detrimental to their future plans, as the Wii U is targeted at ‘hardcore’ gamers this time which is Sony and MS’ territory.
So what’s the good thing about a new console generation? That’s right – plenty of tech demos and target renders. It will be glorious.
Regarding this rumour, we have to say it has to be accurate, since Ben Parfitt is a respected figure in the gaming industry, and such confidence in his words cannot be taken lightly.
Check out the Wii U tech demo, which shows what to expect from next gen games.
