The PS4 NEO now exists- it’s officially been confirmed by Sony’s Andrew House today, even though he also gave us the news that we won’t get to see it at E3. That confirmation came with some more news and concrete details about the console, and how it will work- including how Sony plans on facilitating easier development for developers who effectively now have to handle one more SKU than they would otherwise.
According to House, development for the PlayStation 4 NEO will be “seamless experience with a small but manageable amount of extra work involved.” The end result of the NEO would be, according to House, a benefit to consumers and developers, while also making consoles competitive with smartphones and tablets.
The PlayStation 4 NEO will be launching- well, we actually don’t know when it will be launching any more. We don’t even know when it will be revealed. However, with Microsoft and Nintendo both gearing up to release new hardware themselves next year, Sony will probably be launching the NEO sometime soon as well.
