Following up on the news that Sony’s PlayStation 4 has sold well over 25 million units since its launch, Sony has revealed its financial report for the quarter ending September 30th 2015. The company managed to shift four million PS4 units during this quarter with global shipments crossing 29 million units till date.
The Game and Network Services division at Sony saw a 19.4 percent year-on-year increase in sales with operating revenue at ¥360.7 billion ($3 billion). Sales and operating revenue is at ¥1,892.7 billion while operating income is at ¥88 billion.
Though PS3 software sales continue to decline, PS3 software sales have increased. Hardware sales increased by 4.8 percent but PlayStation Store and Sony Entertainment Network sales were up by 56.8 percent.
