Sony’s improved design of the original PS4 console, the PS4 Slim, wasn’t something anyone knew was going to happen or get confirmed so quickly after the rumours surfaced. In the recent unboxing video, which has been taken down a few hours after going live.
A NeoGAF user was able to spot a difference between his DualShock 4 and the one featured in the video. During the video, the PS button was used normally to connect it to the console, the normal LED lightbar lit up, however, viewers were able to notice that there is now a newly-added lightbar located just above the touch-pad and faces the player’s direction.
The new LED bar stays lit up as long as it’s connected, just like the original. We still don’t know whether Sony is going to add some customization settings to it, like changing its colour, altering its brightness or even turning it off completely.
