Its a well known fact by now that personal information of 77 million PSN users has been compromised. These include:
– Name
– Address (city, state, zip)
– Country
– Email Address
– Birthdate
– PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID
In a detailed article by San Francisco Chronicle, it was reported that so far credit card companies have not seen any fraudulent activity.
Spokesmen for Wells Fargo & Co., American Express Co. and MasterCard Inc. said they were monitoring cardholder accounts and hadn’t seen unauthorized activity relating to Sony.
This should provide a temporary relief to the various PSN users but this does not the rule out the possibility that the hackers have credit card information.
