The PlayStation Network will be going offline next for maintenance on May 25th, at 6:30 AM local time. The maintenance period will last for two hours and services should be up and working again at 8:30 AM local time.
While you can still play games and access various programs along with signing into your account, the PlayStation Store won’t be accessible. Account Management and PlayStation Video are two other features that will remain inaccessible.
Such maintenance isn’t new, especially for a large service like PlayStation Network. At last count, Sony had sold roughly 40 million PS4 units worldwide and that’s not taking into account PS3 and PS Vita consoles which also access the service for various purposes. Maintenance periods are the best way to keep things running smoothly and thankfully the downtime isn’t that long to begin with.
