Red Dead Online Stat and Progress Resets Currently Not Planned – Rockstar

Those worried about having their progress reset can rest easy (at least during the beta).

Rockstar’s Red Dead Online released last week, and while many players appreciated it, there have been variety of concerns. While the troublesome in-game economy is due for some balance changes, players were also concerned about possible stat and progress resets. After all, Rockstar itself said last week that, “there is always the chance that we may need to implement rank or other stat resets in case of issues.”

Those worried about possibly losing all progress, or even their character, can rest easy though. In a recent tweet, the developer stated that there are no plans currently to reset either progress or stats as part of the beta’s rollout. They also added that development team is still working on balancing the economy and game stability for an update that’s coming next week.

While a progress and stat reset could happen once the game is out of the beta stage, current players can grind out all the cash and Gold they want currently. If Rockstar’s economy balancing goes well, then all activities should be “appropriately rewarding and fun”. Stay tuned for more information when the update goes live.
