Remnant 2 Crosses 2 Million Units Sold

Gunfire Games' co-op shooter has also generated over $66 million in net sales for The Embracer Group in Q2 of its fiscal year.

Payday 3 may have under-performed for the Embracer Group, but Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is doing well. Published by Gearbox Publishing on July 25th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, it’s sold over two million units and generated over SEK 700 million (over $66 million) in net sales for Q2 of the group’s fiscal year.

Remnant 2 takes place years after the first game, with the player discovering Ward 13 and venturing into the Labyrinth to stop the Root. It offers brand-new worlds like N’Erud, Losomn and Dran, with Yaesha returning from the previous game with several changes. We award it an 8 out of 10 in our review, praising the procedural generation, combat and boss design.

The first paid DLC for Remnant 2, The Awakened King, is available now on all platforms. It adds new region to Losomn with a new boss, weapons, Rings and armor. There are also new enemies, dungeons and a new Archetype, The Ritualist. It’s also playable in co-op, even if others don’t own the DLC.
