Following its early access release for Ultimate Edition owners, Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is out now worldwide on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. As a sequel to the 2019 Souls-like shooter, the story takes place years after, with the Root still a major threat across several worlds.
To defeat the Root once and for all, you travel through places like N’Erud, a massive space-faring construct filled with ethereal entities and drones, and Yaesha from the first game, which has since fallen to the Root. There’s also Losomn, a fusion of the Dran and Fae worlds, while the Labyrinth is a gateway to the different worlds.
What sets Remnant 2 apart from the original is its massively expanded world generation, which remixes biomes, quests, bosses and more each time you reroll world.
