Housemarque’s next shoot ’em up Nex Machina has a new release date. You can pick it up on June 20th for PS4 and PC, and the developer has since confirmed that it will have co-op support.
From the makers of RESOGUN, Alienation and Super Stardust, Nex Machina takes inspiration from top-down shooters of old like Robotron. Interestingly, Robotron and Smash TV creator Eugene Jarvis actually collaborated with Housemarque for development of Nex Machina. The game is confirmed to have five worlds with 100 levels overall.
As for the co-op mode, not much is known but it will only have local support. Players may also be restricted to sharing a single-screen. Along with co-op support, Nex Machina will have competitive multiplayer and leaderboards for measuring your success.
