It’s not easy seeing one of your most famous properties be revisited or remastered without your involvement. Such is the case with Titanfall creator and Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella – when he was still in charge of Infinity Ward with Jason West, the two cranked out arguably one of their most significant shooters of all time with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Now, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered is coming and Zampella actually told those working on the project to not f**k things up for fans. Speaking to Eurogamer, Zampella laughed when he said, “I told them – don’t f*** it up. That’s my on the record response. I rang them up and said, honestly, don’t f**k it up. It’s a huge part of people’s gaming memories.”
And it’s not hard to see why. Along with being most fans’ favourite Call of Duty ever and the game that skyrocketed the franchise to success, a remaster was requested for years and it only makes sense that Zampella wants to see it done right.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered can currently be obtained by purchasing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s Legacy Edition. Both games are out on November 4th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
