Rocket League “100 Percent” Heading to Other Platforms

Could there be other releases aside from an Xbox One version?

Psyonix’s Rocket League will definitely be heading to other consoles according to Psyonix marketing head Jeremy Dunham.

Speaking to GameZone, Dunham stated that, “We’re now in a position that we can expand our team. We are absolutely, 100% going to other platforms. What those platforms are and when we’ll come to them, I don’t know yet. Nothing is off the table.”

More than an Xbox One release – which is a given at this point – this possibly opens the door up for Rocket League on the PS Vita or Wii U. As for why it only released on PS4 and PC to begin with, Dunham said that the studio didn’t have enough resources to create multiple builds of the game.

“We wanted to make sure the game ran well and that it had as many positive elements as possible, and that we weren’t just trying to port it to as many platforms as we possibly could just to try to maximize our profit.”

Rocket League has been a great success thus far, notching up more than 5 million downloads on Steam and PS4. Which platforms would you like to see it on? Let us know below.
