Rocket League on Switch Runs At 720p/60 FPS, Both Docked and Undocked

Remains the same for split-screen co-op.

Psyonix’s Rocket League may support cross-platform play on the Nintendo Switch (with Xbox One and PC users, that is. Sony isn’t willing to play ball) and feature some exclusive content. However, there are a few drawbacks when it comes to the game’s performance..

Speaking to GameSpot, Psyonix VP Jeremy Dunham revealed that the game will run at 720p resolution and 60 FPS on the Switch. This is in both docked and undocked mode.

It should be noted that this will stay the same even with split-screen couch co-op, be it on TV or handheld mode. Conversely, the Xbox One X version of the game will support 4K and high dynamic range (HDR) lighting.

Rocket League arrives on the Nintendo Switch this Holiday season. Will you still pick it up despite it running in HD only? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
