Rocket League Patch Adds New Features, Changes to Ranked Play

Support has been added for the new Supersonic Fury DLC.

Another patch for Psyonix’s Rocket League is currently available. It provides support for the game’s first DLC, Supersonic Fury, which is available for $4 and adds two new cars, six decals for each, two rocket boosts, three new trophies and much more.

The patch adds its own set of new features including the ability to spectate private matches. This is only for 3 vs. 3 matches however. A new arena has also been added with Utopia Coliseum and players will also have the option to “Vote to Forfeit” during ranked matches. 3 vs. 3 Team Ranked has also been added as a replacement for 3 vs. 3 Solo in the online match queue and you can now create/join private matches which are named and even password-protected.

Ranked Play changes fairly straightforward. Skill ratings are now calculated on dedicated servers, the “Connect Failure” issue has been addressed and Ranked matches will no longer start if both teams aren’t full. Check out the rest of the patch notes here and let us know what you currently think of the new DLC.
