Rocket League Patch to Fix Crashes, News Ticker and More

It's also expected to correct an issue in the main menu's rendering which leads to PS4 fans triggering.

Rocket League’s patch 1.03 is on the way and developer Psyonix has listed a number of issues that the patch will look into addressing.

Among these fixes include finally correcting the news ticker to display properly. Till now, it simply read, “You are offline, please connect to the Internet to get updated news!” despite players clearly being connected online. AI for bots will now be automatically matched to the skill of players so if a friend happens to leave in the middle you can rest somewhat assured that the AI won’t fail you miserably.

Crashes in the Steam version, invisible cars while playing online and a rendering issue for the main menu – which caused some overheating in PS4 units leading to increased fan usage – are also expected to be fixed. That PS4 fan issue may not be completely gone though so check out another possible fix here.

Issues like latency and PC controller support aren’t expected to be addressed in this patch but are on Psyonix’s plate for the near future. Look forward to the patch sometime this week and stay tuned for more details.
