If you’ve been chomping at the bit for Psyonix’s Rocket League, the hit racing/football title on PS4 and PC, to arrive for Xbox One then you might not have to wait much longer. According to CEO and studio director Dave Hagewood, the studio is looking at all kinds of platforms for an announcement “at some point”.
Speaking to Red Bull, Hagewood was asked if the game would ever arrive on Xbox One and he replied that, “I can’t say. We’re looking at all kinds of platforms and there may be some announcements coming up at some point. Hopefully before the end of the year, but I can’t confirm that.”
At this point, it seems pretty much a given. After all, with the success that Rocket League has experienced since launch – including one million Steam sales and five million total downloads – there’s no reason that Psyonix wouldn’t want to cash in on potential Xbox One players.
