Rumour: Deus Ex Human Revolution Heading to Wii U?

The Australian Classification Board has an updated listing on the game.

The Wii U is an interesting case. Despite the original’s success being dictated by an almost completely casual audience, the successor features a lot more hardcore games.

Take Deus Ex: Human Revolution, developed by Eidos Montreal. It seems the Australian Classification Board has provided further evidence as to the action RPG heading to the Wii U with a new listing – registered on March 1st 2013 – where the version is specified as “Modified”. The author is of course Eidos Montreal with Square Enix acting as publisher.

The game even has the same rating (MA 15+) as the original version released in 2011 for Xbox 360, PC and PS3. Coincidence?

Regardless, this only lends further credence to the rumour. Earlier, the technical project manager at Straight Right (who ported Mass Effect 3 to Wii U) stated on his online resume about “porting a triple-A Square Enix game to the yet-to-be-released Wii U platform”. Keep an open mind as usual.
