S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Gets New Quests, Locations, and Characters on December 16th

After receiving an emergency broadcast from Professor Medulin, players can venture to the Red Forest for hours of new story content.

GSC Game World dropped a pretty sizable update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl last month to celebrate its PS5 release, but it’s far from one. Tomorrow, it’s adding new story with eight quests offering hours of new content spread across seven new locations. Check out the trailer for “Stories Untold” below.

The story follows Malachite and a mysterious signal that causes Stalkers to suffer hallucinations, headaches and other such trauma. While Banzi assists Professor Medulin in his investigation, things take a turn, and they require help. You’ll receive their transmission while wandering the Zone and can proceed to the Red Forest Region to learn more.

Of course, there’s also a new hub to visit in the Burnt Forest, complete with a trader, guide, and more. Other new characters abound throughout, but you also get a new weapon – the GP37V2. As the name implies, it’s based on the GP37 with a suppressor, single and burst fire modes, and more, though you can modify it accordingly.
