S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Will Receive New Anomalies, Master Difficulty, and More in 2025

The next two quarters will see even more improvements and new features for GSC Game World's open-world sandbox survival shooter.

After wrapping its previous post-launch roadmap for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, GSC Game World has announced a new one encompassing the remainder of the year. It starts with an update to Unreal Engine 5.5.4, followed by the implementation of “various” Night Division Devices and new Binoculars.

Players can also expect additional updates to A-Life 2.0, including some changes to combat (and Mutants). There will also be new Anomalies, missions (from “old and new friends”), and a fresh weather scenario. The day/night cycle is getting longer, and a rework to loot in stashes is underway. For those keen on a new challenge, Master Difficulty is also coming.

That’s on top of UI updates, a rework to stamina and energy-restoring drinks, and Protection stats in the player equipment UI. The Zone Kit will also get audio modding, narrative tools for players to craft their own stories, technical improvements, and more, over two phases.

If that wasn’t enough, GSC Game World is gearing up for the launch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl on PS5 and PS5 Pro. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Enhanced Edition owners can also expect additional improvements, so stay tuned for updates.
