Developer Shedworks and publisher Raw Fury’s open world adventure title Sable launched for PC and Xbox consoles over a year ago, and soon, it’ll become available for an even larger player base. It was announced last month that the game would be launching for PS5 later this year, and a specific launch date has now been confirmed. Sable is coming to PS5 on November 29 (a PS4 version doesn’t seem to be on the cards).
Sable’s PS5 launch will also go hand-in-hand with new content coming to the game. That includes a new fishing minigame, being able to display your collection of fish and insects in your Vivarium, and a new Angler Mask to don. Meanwhile, the game will also feature support for the DualSense’s haptic feedback on PS5, allowing players to feel the sand dunes as you traverse through Sable’s world. In our review of Sable, we gave it a score of 6/10, saying, “Take away the technical issues, and Sable is a pretty good game. It’s not great, because some fundamental design issues do hold it back, but it would still be worth checking out. As it stands, however, the game is a mess technically speaking, with frame rate drops, pop ins, crashes, hard locks, and long loading times. If there is a good game in here, it’s really hard to get to, and it might be best to wait till after some of the technical issues have been ironed out.” Read the full review through here
Sable is also available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
