Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice PS4 Pro Currently Runs At 1080p And Unlocked Frame Rate

4K might not currently be on the cards, but the frame rate usually lands between 40-60 FPS.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is almost upon us, and information on FromSoftware’s upcoming title is continuing to come in thick and fast, most recently thanks to a round of hands-on impressions from numerous publications who’ve spent a few hours with the game. Digital Foundry was among these publications, and they’ve revealed some interesting details on the tech side of things for the game based on the build that they played.

Digital Foundry is reporting that currently, on the PS4 Pro, Sekiro is running at a native 1080p resolution, and not in 4K, dynamic or otherwise, with the resolution being quite similar to what we saw in the PS4 Pro patch for Dark Souls 3. However, the reports mentions impressive frame rate, which is unlocked and as such, usually runs between 40 to 60 frames per second, falling to 30 FPS during alpha-heavy scenes.

It is worth noting that this is based on a preview build, and for all we know, the final product might end up supporting 4K resolutions as well- but then again, it might not. We’ll find out soon either way- Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launches on March 22 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

If you’re playing the game on PC, you can check out its system requirements here. A story-focused trailer was also recently released- take look through here.
