Ys Net’s Shenmue 3 won’t be at E3 2017 this year according to a new monthly report. The developer noted that the coming month will be devoted entirely to development.
“While our schedule has yet to be finalized, we will be devoting June to game development and as a result, will unfortunately not be participating in any game shows. On the other hand, we look forward to bringing you our monthly updates and hope you do too!”
A new character was also revealed in the update video, one that boasts suspenders and long hair. Ys Net teases about the character showing up somewhere.
Shenmue 3 was announced at Sony’s E3 2015 presser and a Kickstarter began shortly after for funding. The game is still going through Sony’s standard third party production cycle though so don’t worry.
E3 2017 will take place from June 13th to 16th but will have pressers from June 10th to 12th from the likes of EA, Microsoft, Bethesda, Sony and Ubisoft. Stay tuned for more coverage as the event nears.
