Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter Targeting 1080p on PS4/Xbox One, 7th CPU Core Used For Better Physics Simulation

Frogwares CEO talks about the upcoming adventure title's visuals.

There are some high expectations riding on Frogwares’ Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter and it should be interesting to see where the franchise goes from here. However, how will it fare visually, especially since it’s the first game in the series to release only on current gen?

GamingBolt spoke Frogwares CEO Wael Amr and when asked if The Devil’s Daughter would run at 1080p resolution and 60 FPS on PS4 and Xbox One, he said, “Hum, no, and hopefully, everyone realize Sherlock Holmes Devil’s Daughter is not a competitive FPS that requires such render performances at the expense of scenery details.”

Amr did reveal that the development team is targeting 1080p resolution so that’s a plus. They will also be using the 7th CPU core on both PS4 and Xbox One to improve performance. However, it will be “for physics simulation mostly.”

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is out on May 27th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
