Silent Hill Franchise Allegedly Has Multiple Games In Development – Rumor

A well-known leaker says two titles could be in development.

The Silent Hill series is one of mixed emotions and feelings, much like the stories within the games it’s composed of. The first three titles were mostly beloved, with the fourth being appreciated over time. But after that, the franchise’s original creative team was disbanded and it since lost its identity after many rushed outsourcing jobs. There was hope the series could see grand revival with Silent Hills that would be headed by the legendary Hideo Kojima. That, too, was dashed when Kojima left Konami. Now, though, there may be a little bit of hope, but we’ll have to take it with a grain of salt.

According to AestheticGamer, also know as DuskGolem (whose leaking track record is especially solid with all things Resident Evil), apparently Konami has been working with outside developers on two Silent Hill titles. One of them is described as a “soft-reboot” of the franchise, whatever that means, and the other as a Telltale-styled episodic one. Aesthetic even says he feels there’s a high chance at least one of those games will be unveiled soon.

If you are wondering why this leaker is worth listening to, he’s had some pretty accurate leaks in the past. As mentioned earlier, he’s largely dealt with Capcom and Resident Evil related leaks- though coupled with the fact that Konami has largely abandoned most of their major franchises, we’ll have to take this with a big grain of salt regardless. The Silent Hill series has been on ice since P.T. released in 2014, not counting slot machines. I wouldn’t get any hopes up about this supposed revival, but we will see.
