Silent Hill Reboot Allegedly To Be Revealed In May – Rumor

The Silent Hill reboot rumor train keeps gather steam.

For the last few months, rumors have been swirling around about a reboot coming of the classic survival horror franchise, Silent Hill. There’s been several variations, but the most persistent one is that a soft reboot will be coming as joint collaboration between Sony and Konami with a lot of the key members of Team Silent, the original developer behind the first 4 titles in the franchise, for the PS5. Well, it seems these rumors just won’t die, as now the same insider is saying we should expect something in May.

To catch you up if you don’t know, alleged insider KatharsisT reignited the rumor fire by claiming that, despite an American Konami representative denying the alleged leaks, the aforementioned reboot was still coming. They returned to the gaming forum ResetEera to hint that the game would be revealed next month, by saying it would not be quiet much longer and replied to someone asking if that meant the reveal was coming soon by saying “MAYbe” (emphasis on may, of course). You can see the posts through  here and here.

There’s been other separate rumors that May events are planned by both Sony and Microsoft, so if this thing is real, it has a chance to be revealed at one of these events. Now, as we’ve pointed out before, this KatharsisT is a new name to my knowledge, though other ‘insiders’ have mentioned this project before. We’ll see if they’re worth listening to come next month, I guess.
