Songs of Conquest Crosses 500,000 Players; Four Post-Launch DLC Announced

Lavapotion's contemporary homage to Heroes of Might and Magic 3 will receive regular paid content drops until Winter 2025.

Lavapotion’s Songs of Conquest, a 4X strategy title inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic 3, recently left early access to strong praise. It’s achieved a significant milestone in its first week, crossing 500,000 players. In a new Steam post celebrating the same, the developer announced it’s working on four paid DLC packs.

Dubbed “Tales of Conquest,” the first DLC is Rise Eternal, launching in Fall 2024. It focuses on the Barony of Loth with Kastus Maal arriving as a new Wielder. Though paid, the developer confirmed that “most” of the gameplay improvements and new artifacts will be available for all players.

December 2024 sees the launch of Essence Awakened, the second DLC, which adds a new Arleon Wielder and features Essence Elementals. Fall 2025 sees the arrival of four new Wielders, a new Barya Wielder and minor Artifacts sets, while the Winter 2025 DLC will add a new Rana Wielder alongside a major Artifact set and “top tier neutral units.”

There will also be regular bug fixes and updates, with a focus on multiplayer and Classic Mode. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players can also look forward to ports releasing this Fall. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
