Nearly a full year after first announcing it, Sega finally unveiled new details on Sonic Origins yesterday. Compiling remasters of four classic 2D Sonic titles and bringing additional content and enhancements, the collection is one that series fans are quite excited about. If you’re planning on playing it on PC, we now know minimum and recommended system requirements as well, courtesy of the game’s Steam page.
Unsurprisingly for a collection of old (to say the least) games, the specs aren’t too demanding. On minimum settings, you’ll need either i5 2400 or an FX 8350, along with either a GeForce GTX 750 or a Radeon HD 7790, and 6 GM of RAM. Meanwhile, on recommended settings, you’ll need either an i5 4570 or a Ryzen 3 1300X, along with either a GeForce GTX 770 or a Radeon R9 280, and 8 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the Steam page also confirms that the collection will use Denuvo DRM on PC.
Sonic Origins launches on June 23 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
