Sony hires a high ranking ex-US defense official for Security

Sony has hired a top ranking ex-Homeland official following the devastating cyber attacks on its PSN in April. This shows great dedication by the company to ensure such an attack never happens again. They had to reportedly pay $100 million to bounce back after the attack.

The official’s name is Philip Reitinger; he was previously director of the US National Cyber Security Centre and had a stint at the US Department.

“Certainly the network issue was a catalyst for the appointment. We are looking to bolster our network security even further,” said a Sony spokesman.
