Sony showed a bit of 3d tech at GDC last week, and Ian Bickerstaff, senior engineer with SCE’s UK-based 3d Team, said that Sony is very optimisic about the new tech, but it’s also remaining “cautious”.
VG247 states that Bickerstaff also revealed that internal teams are working on games with 3d capabilites, and third-parties are excited as well. He also adds that they’re very amazed with the enthusiasm from the developers.
PS3 games that Sony showed using 3d in GDC are: MLB 10: The Show, Super Stardust HD, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, Wipeout HD and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.
Rumour has it that a firmware update that implements 3D on PS3 Consoles goes live on 10th June.
