Soul Sacrifice: Keiji Inafune Wants to Keep Making Sequels

Reveals that Soul Sacrifice Delta isn't "a complete sequel".

Soul Sacrifice isn’t a half-bad game, and in fact emerged as one of the better PlayStation Vita exclusives in recent memory. Director Keiji Inafune revealed the so-called sequel, Soul Sacrifice Delta, recently but has stated to IGN that he is open to making more games in the series.

“[Soul Sacrifice Delta] is not a complete sequel. However, it’s not like a 1.5. It’s probably something like a 1.7 or 8,” he continued, laughing. Instead, Delta represents more of a spin on the original, an iteration of what’s already been done. This kind of handheld action game requires a lot of adjustments. So just putting out one or two titles is not going to be enough. We need to put out more and adjust more, put more tuning to it to make [the series] complete.

“So concept-wise, how I’m thinking about it, I want it to go on. If the users support it, if Sony decides to support it, of course I want to keep on making sequels [to Soul Sacrifice].”

Soul Sacrifice Delta will release in March 2014 for PlayStation Vita.
