The Fall season will have a number of top-tier releases, as it does every year. Though there are plenty of memorable games to look forward to, Insomniac’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 is arguably the biggest game coming out next month. There’s still a lot we don’t know about the game, but thankfully, creative director Bryan Intihar sat down with PlayStation Access to offer some new bits of info.
The footage showcased sees the Inner Demons robbing an art gallery as Spider-Man utilizes stealth to take them down. Eventually, we get to a boss fight with Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, before transitioning to Peter Parker’s normal life.
The developer is putting effort into showcasing the respective worlds of Spider-Man and Peter Parker colliding. These will manifest in situations like Martin Li, who runs a homeless shelter that Aunt May works at, but is also Mister Negative, a dreaded crime boss.
At one point in the video (15:00), Intihar notes that Spider-Man will confront the Sinister Six at some point. Though we’ve seen a number of the villains introduced, this does pretty much confirm that the full iconic group will be included. Does Green Goblin fill out the remaining role? Doctor Octopus? Time will tell.
Spider-Man is out on September 7th for PS4.
