Spider-Man Voice Actor May Have Accidentally Leaked Mysterious Villain

Spider-Man voice actor may have accidentally spilled the beans on the mystery villain in the game.

Okay, before we proceed- if you don’t want any spoilers for Spider-Man, exit now. Seriously, this post will have potential spoilers. This is your final spoiler warning. After this point, I will get into reporting on what the story is about, which is, by definition, a spoiler.

Still here? Okay, then let’s go. Voice actor Chris Jai Alex accidentally let slip during an interview at E3 (via Eurogamer) that the mysterious unnamed villain in the game, who has been referenced multiple times, but never by name, nor shown, may be Doctor Octopus. This would make sense on multiple levels- Doctor Octopus, for example, is the leader of the Sinister Six, and also Spider-Man’s arch nemesis. Having him in the game would be playing it true to the Spider-Man mythos.

Now, this is still unconfirmed- for example, Doc Ock could just be a tutorial fight, or something to that effect, and the mystery villain could be referring to someone else entirely- but for now, it sees like Doctor Octopus may be squaring off against Spidey in the upcoming game when it launches exclusively on PS4 this September.
