Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Delayed to Finish Work on Third Game, and Put All Games on Disc- Rumor

Maybe Activision actually paid attention to fan feedback for once?

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy saw an abrupt delay announced earlier this morning, with no official reason for the delay cited (Activision said the game “needs more love and care”). Many speculated that the delay may be in response to fan backlash for not having all three games on the disc (previously it was announced that only the first one would be on the disc, with the other two acting as downloads).

The reason for Activision pulling that, of course, would be that the other two games simply wouldn’t be complete by the time the discs had to be pressed. Meaning a delay could feasibly resolve this issue. And if this video by YouTuber Yong Yea is to be believed (which, I need to stress, he has a fairly patchy track record), then that is exactly the reason for the postponement.

Citing an unnamed source, YongYea notes that the third game in the series isn’t yet complete; Activision was previously refusing to delay the game, in spite of the developers emphatically requesting time for that to happen, but after a recent presentation, the publisher has finally relented, and the extra time will be used to complete all three games, and have them all be on disc.

Again, this is just rumor and hearsay for now- the good thing is we will know its veracity in a few months, when Spyro: Reignited Trilogy launches for PS4 and Xbox One this November.
