Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Will Include Options For Rescored Music, As Well As the Original Soundtrack

A love letter to fans who grew up with the original PS1 games.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy will offer a feature that few remakes ever offer, but those that do manage to truly endear to fans of their respective source content- you see, while Reignited Trilogy comes with new music, redone much like the visuals have been, it will also include an option for you, as players, to switch over to the original soundtrack instead. Activision confirmed this today with a new trailer for the game, which you can view below. Which, for those who grew up on the PS1 era games, has to be a nostalgic blast from the past.

This will also include new “old” music- as in tracks that were originally scored for the PS1 games, but never actually used, meaning this becomes the first time the world gets to listen to them. It’s just an awesome feature all around, and one of the best things Activision and Toys for Bob could have done with the game.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy launches for PS4 and Xbox One on September 21, with PC and Nintendo Switch versions also rumored. Recently, more gameplay footage was also released for Spyro: Reignited Trikogy, which also looks amazing. Take look at it here.
