It was only recently announced that Star Ocean: The Last Hope 4K & Full HD Remaster was in the works. At that time, we had no news regarding a western localization, but it has been confirmed that the Western Release will be on the same date as the Japanese release, November 28th.

The game will be releasing for the PS4 and also for the PC. Users of Steam and PlayStation Plus subscribers can get a 10% discount on the game if they buy the game early, i.e. before December 12th. Additionally , Steam users will also get a mini-soundtrack of the game whereas PlayStation users who buy the game via the PlayStation Store before January 12th get an exclusive PlayStation theme and 12 PlayStation Network Avatars.

The game functions as a prequel, so players won’t be missing out on past events. The game will feature real-time strategic combat as the story follows the adventures of Edge Maverick.

The remaster will contain added mouse and keyboard as well as controller support. Users of the PS4 can play the game in full HD 1080p, while PS4 players can play the game at 4K resolution. Let us know if you’ll be checking this one out for yourself.
