The beta for the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront II is less than a month away now, but if that time is too much for you to bear, we have information on it thanks to a leak on by Reddit user Some_Info. The same user has previously leaked several details on the game in the preceding weeks, including details from the game’s alpha version, and most of these have turned out to be true, so while this is in no way an official announcement from EA themselves, it does seem to be pretty reliable information.
The beta is going to contain three maps, namely Galactic Assault on Theed for forty players, Space Battles on Fondor for 24 players, and Strike on Takodana. In addition to that, the Skirmish mode will also be included in the beta (it’s not going to be called “something like Arcade”, according to the leak), and it will include solo gameplay as well as split-screen and co-op gameplay for up to two players.
The beta will include the same heroes as what we say at EA Play earlier. There’s going to be nine emotes for soldiers for players to use, while it also seems like there will be a new vehicle in the beta called LAAT, though it seems like it will not be fully controllable and will instead follow a fixed path like the U-Wing on Scarif. The leak also confirms that graphics look better than they did at E3, and that the file size of the beta is going to be between 14 GB and 16 GB.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 launches in November, a little over a month after its beta, for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Stay tuned for more updates on the game.
