Star Wars Battlefront 2 New Update Increases Credits Payouts and Daily Login Bonuses

These are good changes.

EA’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 has been under fire, for the loot box controversy that it basically created, an then subsequently found itself at the center of. EA and DICE, responding to the increasingly dire situation, went ahead and turned off all microtransactions in game- which was a bandaid solution, because the grindiness of the game still remained.

Today, DICE announced a new update for the title which should help address it to a degree. As of right now, the number of credits you get at the end of each game, and especially for doing well, has been increased substantially; DICE has also increased the number of credits you can earn in the Arcade Mode by up to three times. Daily login crates will also give players more parts than before- again, expediting the amount of time it would otherwise have taken to earn this stuff.

These are good changes, and EA and DICE acknowledge that these, and more that will be coming up, were needed- but the larger problem of the game existing in the form it did in the first place still remains.
