EA and DICE will be rolling out a server side update for the beleaguered and much maligned Star Wars Battlefront 2, implementing a variety of updates that should make the multiplayer experience on the game better for those who are still playing it.
DICE Producer Ali Hassoon confirmed the update on Twitter today, specifically noting that game performance and matchmaking will be among the various benefits players will notice as a result. He also said there would be “more” benefits, but didn’t go into detail about what those might be.
Nevertheless, given that net code lag and matchmaking are among the many issues that players have had with the game since its launch, this update will be appreciated by the game’s players. Since it’s server side, players shouldn’t have to install or apply anything on their end. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is available now. It is out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
