EA has finally dated the beta for Star Wars: Battlefront which begins on October 8th and ends on October 12th. It will include three different modes to try.
These include the 40 player Walker Assault on Hoth; Drop Zone on Sullust, an 8v8 mode which focuses on capturing different drop pods; and a Survival Mission on Tatooine where you can team up with a friend over online co-op or split-screen to battle waves of Storm Troopers. Interestingly, the Star Wars: Battlefront Companion experience will also be available, letting you try the card game Base Command.
The beta date announcement comes at an interesting time, especially with reports from an alleged alpha tester that Star Wars: Battlefront is currently a broken game and will be a complete mess at launch. EA hasn’t responded to these allegations yet but you can bet a response will be coming.
Either way, Star Wars: Battlefront is out on November 17th in North America and November 20th in Europe on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
