With the release of Star Wars Battlefront just a few days away, DICE and EA appear to be ironing out few of the game’s details. Writing on the game’s official website DICE announced that the company has taken feedback from its beta to heart and has worked hard to correct some things before the game goes live. The post talked about improvements in areas such as the Partner and Party systems, as well as vehicles and weapons, how spawns are going to work and how the game will handle heroes and villains.
When it comes to the party system, the game will actually show you members in your party with green dots on the game’s map. Though, EA pointed out you wont’ be able to spawn on those points. When it comes to spawning the company has changed up where spawning takes place, especially after the first couple of deaths. The spawning points have been moved as well, presumably to make it not quite so hard to jump into the action and get shot right away.
When it comes to weapons and vehicles, the team says it has tweaked the balancing in order to make the fights a bit more fair. There have also been tweaks to the heroes and villains to make these more fun as well. In particular, EA and DICE have taken out the automatic damage being done to heroes over time. They also removed the ability to get health back when killing enemies. EA closed by saying that these aren’t the only tweaks but you’ll have to see the rest when Star Wars: Battlefront releases on November 17.
