Star Wars Battlefront Patch With Offline Skirmish is Now Available

Several hero/villain changes, weapon balances and more included.

The latest patch for DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront, which adds an offline mode in the form of Skirmish, is now live. This allows you to play Walker Assault or Fighter Squadron with bots or alongside a friend through local split-screen.

The partner system has also been changed in the recent patch to allow for spawning checks to happen at one second intervals, thus decreasing the chances of spawning next to a partner when a battle has begun. If an enemy is within 10 meters, partner spawning will be disabled.

Some weapons and heroes have seen changes. The DT-12 fire rate has been increased to 250 from 220 while the DLT-44’s fire rate is now 210 from 180. For characters like Darth Vader, he can now deflect Han’s Lucky Shot or Leia’s Trooper Bane (though doing so leaves him stunned for a short time). Boba Fett’s flamethrower can now be cancelled and the effective distance has been increased to 4.75 meters from 3.5 meters. Finally, even if enemies are using Bacta Bomb, they’ll always die to lightsaber attacks from Vader and Luke.

What are your thoughts on the changes? Let us know below. The patch is 12 GB for all platforms and patch notes can be seen here.
