With 75 Skills to unlock in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor you will be spending a good long time, and multiple playthroughs amassing enough Skill Points to open up all 9 Skill Trees. This guide can help mitigate that slog by outlining the various ways to earn Skill Points, level up faster while grinding enemies, and respec if you find it necessary.
How To Earn Skill Points In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?
Earn Experience and level up. Since there is no known level cap in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor it is possible to simply keep earning Experience and acquire a new Skill Point at the next level up. There are also a small number of Skill Point Essences to be picked up, as you would Force Essences and Health Essences.

Complete The Story
The main missions in the story offer a surefire method to earning not just Skill Points, but also unlocks to the Skill Trees themselves, as well as various Force abilities that will open up previously inaccessible areas for even more Experience opportunities.
Pursue Every Rumor
No matter how run-of-the-mill ordinary they may seem, always converse with NPCs, and be persistent with their dialog as well. While some may open up with a Rumor that leads to a side mission right away, others will be reluctant until pressed for information. But all Rumors will eventually be worth your while in terms of Experience.
The Wisdom Perk
As soon as you have unlocked access to Zee’s Shop in Pyloon’s Saloon in Rambler’s Reach Outpost, you should grab the Wisdom Perk, which grants a bonus to Experience gained from enemies. You will need to have gathered 5 Datadiscs as well, but by this point you will have amassed more than that even. The Perk will occupy all three of your initially available Perk Slots, but will be well worth the boost to XP gains, especially in the early game. Zee also has another Perk Slot unlock for sale for 10 Datadiscs, should you need it for another critical Perk.
The Gambler Perk
An enhanced version of the Wisdom Perk, it increases the Experience gain even further. The caveat is that you cannot recover any XP lost on death by returning to your last living location. This can be made viable on a lower difficulty level with the right low-risk XP farming spot. The other downside is that it is a hog of four Perk Slots, which is quite a commitment to make even at that point in the game. The Perk is awarded at the end of a Legendary Adversary run on the Sutaban Alpha:
Crypt of Uhrma
From the Crypt of Uhrma Meditation Point, head right and past the statue into the doorway. Ascend the stairs on the right, go through the door and back out into the open. Hold to the right, cross the chasm, go past the pair of obelisks on the left, and turn the right corner straight into a cave with wind chimes and talismans suspended at the entrance. Continue right into the doorway. Inside the Crypt of Uhrma proper, use Force Pull to get through the door puzzle. Drop down, look left, and use Force Pull on the grate. Back in the open once more, you will have arrived at Trailhead Pantheon, and a Green Laser Gate to Dash through as you follow the beaten path. Pass through the small waterfall and then squeeze through the crevice into the lair of a Legendary Sutaban. This of course, requires the use of the ability to Dash through Green Laser Gates.
Force Tears
These dimensional Tear trials are great sources of XP as well as a single Skill Point each. As such, they are locked behind doors and puzzles.
Scan All The Things
If you see or hear a prompt from BD-1 to scan something, do so. Echos, Databanks, fallen foes, does not matter. The XP gain is minimal but every bit counts. Scanning the dead will reap rewards in the Holotactics minigame in Pyloon’s Saloon which also offers XP rewards.
Kill All The Things
A no-brainer, but battling enemies is the most consistent XP gaining method there is. At the correct difficulty, combined with the right XP farm location, you could grind several Skill Points before it got boring. As a rule of thumb, the larger they are, the more XP they drop when they fall. Rancor, Gorocco, and Mogu are great to beat on if you have the skill and patience for it.
How To Respec Skills In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?
Skill Points are easy enough to come by, so do not be tempted to hoard them. But in the event you do not like the path you are headed up on the Skill Trees, you can choose to reset just the Skill Points, nothing more, and then reallocate those points afresh. This can be done at any time through a Meditation Point. Only the first time is free, with successive resets costing a single Skill Point each time themselves.
There is one other way to effect a complete reset of your Skill Points. And that is upon completion of the game when New Game +, or “New Journey +” as it is known in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is unlocked. The new mode will only strip you of your abilities (like Dash, for story pacing purposes), and leave you with everything else including unlocked Cosmetics, Collectibles, Saber Stances, Skill Trees, and Skills. While the latter are reset, you can respec as soon as you make it to a Meditation Point, because the Skill Points themselves are refunded in their entirety.
And that is everything there is to know about earning Skill Points and leveling up faster in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Farm those Goroccos now!
