EA has admitted that Star Wars: The Old Republic could suffer yet another delay that may push it beyond the 2011 release previously promised.
The game was omitted from the firm’s release schedule, and while it says it “fully anticipates” launching the game later this calendar year, it admits there’s an “outside possibility of a January launch”.
Speaking more on the matter, EA Games Label boss man Frank Gibeau said we’re holding the date for two reasons – first, we don’t want to tip off the competition; second, we want more data from the beta test to guarantee a spectacular experience at launch.”
Let’s hope this extra testing time pays off, as this one is starting to make us all impatient.
