Chucklefish’s Stardew Valley, a critically and commercially successful title which sees players farming, exploring and being genuinely nice to people, is making significant progress with its multiplayer mode. The developer shared new details on the same and noted that players will play alongside others – with up to three cabins on your farm, one for each friend.
If your friends decide to move in, they can mine, forage, farm and even marry NPCs. They’ll also have their own inventory which is separate from the player. The multiplayer mode’s beta will be going live on PC by 2017 end before launching in early 2018 for the platform.
Console versions will receive it afterwards though the Switch gets multiplayer first…which is funny because that version is releasing later this year. As for those who wish to marry other players, don’t worry – Chucklefish is working on that as well. Look for it to become a feature sometime in the future.
